Green Meetings Philosophy
We compost in the Bistro’s kitchen, recycle, and use Eco-Friendly cleaning products. Our signature infused water is provided for meetings rather than bottled water. Certified fair trade organic coffee and teas are used exclusively throughout the hotel. Cloth napkins or 100% recycled paper napkins used for all meetings and events.
By supporting local producers, who share our respect for the environment, we ensure optimum growing methods and conditions, frequent delivery, and peak freshness. We believe you’ll taste the difference.
As part of our eco-driven philosophy, we maintain a 100% sustainable Ocean Wisetm seafood menu that protects endangered species, minimizes the impact on the natural marine environment, and limits by-catch.
If you book our "Eco-Green Meeting," 10% of your food and beverage order will be donated to The Land Conservancy of British Columbia.
A Proud Member of the Green Key Eco-Rating Program
As a conscientious traveller, knowing that the hotel you’re staying at cares about sustainability as much as you do is important. We’re a proud part of our community and are actively involved in maintaining the high-quality of life here for visitors and residents alike by engaging in sustainable practices and being a proud member of the Hotel Association of Canada's Green Key Eco-Rating program.
The Green Key Eco-Rating Program is a graduated rating system designed to recognize lodging properties that are committed to improving their fiscal and environmental performance. Based on the results of a comprehensive environmental audit, hotels are awarded a 1-5 Green Key rating. The Oswego Hotel garnered a nearly perfect 4-key designation. Being a member of this program provides transparency about our efforts and third-party verification of them, so you can trust our commitment.
